DESIGNERS

Senior Project Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE

A dual strategic and hands-on role blending design direction with project accountability, from first client conversation to final punch list. Ideal for a seasoned designer who thrives in complex commercial environments and can mentor others while managing multiple projects at once.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design

– Own the design process from concept through construction

– Align creative direction with client goals and code requirements

– Coordinate consultants (MEP, structural, lighting, AV, etc.)

– Review and redline drawings for quality and compliance

 

Client & Project Management

– Lead client relationships across all project phases

– Deliver projects on time, on budget, and on brand

– Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting

– Support contract negotiations and vendor management

 

QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field

– 8+ years of commercial interior design or architecture experience

– Proven track record managing multiple projects of varying scale and complexity

– Strong working knowledge of Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and PM tools (Asana, Deltek, etc.)

– NCIDQ certification or architecture license preferred but not required

    Project Designer

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    A mid-level, bridge role in the studio — advanced enough to take ownership of significant project tasks independently, while still receiving mentorship from senior staff. This position contributes both creatively and technically across workplace and repositioning projects, with opportunities to grow client interaction skills and develop specialized expertise in workplace strategy and adaptive reuse.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Design Development

    – Translate workplace strategy and client goals into functional design solutions

    – Develop test fits, space plans, and design concepts

    – Research and select materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures

    – Produce renderings and presentation boards for client reviews

     

    Documentation & Technical

    – Develop and maintain Revit models and drawing sets across all phases

    – Prepare finish schedules and FF&E specifications

    – Coordinate design details with senior technical staff

    – Ensure documentation meets code, accessibility, and permitting requirements

     

    Project Coordination

    – Collaborate with consultants (MEP, lighting, furniture vendors, contractors)

    – Attend and document client meetings, workshops, and site visits

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field

    – 5+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design or architecture

    – Experience with workplace interiors and/or building repositioning projects preferred – Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, and Microsoft Office Suite.

    – Ability to work independently on project tasks while collaborating with senior staff

     

    CORE COMPETENCIES

    Design fluency translates strategy into creative, functional spaces with strong aesthetic judgment technical proficiency skilled in Revit documentation, detailing, and specification writing
